Chris McDaniel, Chief Revenue Officer
A native Floridian, Chris lived in Los Angeles, the Bahamas, Belgium and Australia before settling back in Florida prior to starting a family. Chris’s 22-year career has centered on automated litigation support and eDiscovery. His career includes legal software development and sales, and more recently, with Deloitte Discovery and Huron Consulting, providing professional and consulting services to corporate legal departments and law firms. His practice included numerous significant HSR Second Requests and large, national DOJ investigations with experience in the medical device, commercial paper, pharma, petroleum, transportation, healthcare and other industries.
As a graduate from Florida State University as a Communications major (and a Theatre minor, see brief LA reference above), Chris believes in the importance of strong written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues. He first leveraged this skillset early in his career with Florida Data Bank which developed one of the first scanning and image retrieval systems for litigation support, known as DocuLex, and Discovery cracker for the fledgling eDiscovery industry. Chris also worked for Quorum Litigation Services prior to starting his own company, GulfStream Digital Solutions, as a Ricoh dealer and scanning service provider. After a successful sale of GulfStream, Chris reentered the eDiscovery market with Ibis Consulting before becoming the first Business Development Manager who helped the brand new Deloitte Discovery practice grow into a multi-million dollar business unit through numerous large litigations and investigations.
Chris joins Cognicion as the Chief Revenue Officer with multiple goals of helping the overall operations to execute soundly, growing the existing client base significantly and finding new revenue streams that are adjacent to our core data-centric competencies.
